Support a US Department of Peace.

Image
Let's give peace a chance! On February 3, 2009 Congressman Dennis Kucinich (OH-10) and 62 Congressional cosponsors reintroduced a bill to create a cabinet level position in charge of Peace. It was assigned the same bill number as in the previous Congress: HR 808. If it sounds like a good idea to you, make a constituent call to your member of the US House of Representatives and say you want him or her to support legislation to create a US Department of Peace. To find your Congressperson or his or her contact info, visit www.congress.org

Monitor Your Tech Savy Kids!

I'm all for freedom of expression, and most certainly welcome any and all musical theater lovers. But... something about this bugs me... (even though it's funny) and the little man is an adorably quirky lip singing (or whatever it's called) fool jamming out to Cascada's What Hurts The Most... And. who's labeling this... strange kid singing? Come on. He's got a lot of time on his tiny little hands.

It's Oscar.

As we enjoy the most holy of days in the entertainment business. Here's a classic from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences collection... Frank Sinatra presenting the Jean Hersholt award Oscar to Rosalind Russell ("His Girl Friday" "Gypsy" "Auntie Mame") at the 45th Academy Awards® in 1973. History in motion.

"I never complain. I never ask why..."

I think it's time we do. complain. get mad. call people. take a bite out of apathy and paralysis. and take that tiny bit of action. even though there is fear. see how it feels. if it feels good. get bigger. get bolder. Jason Aldean's Amarillo Sky nails it, please don't let your dreams run dry. Here's the contact numbers for the White House . Does anyone else think...

... Kathi Lee and Hoda are doing sketch comedy everyday that's wackier than the parody done on SNL?? I offer this as evidence. Visit msnbc.com for Breaking News , World News , and News about the Economy against the latest SNL skit.

These People Are not Our Rulers...

They are our leaders.... that we voted for. When they forget.... we need to remind them. Call your Senator . Often.

I thought I lost you...

(I really really wanted to lose you.) But Cheney won't go away. Ugh. Anyway... Enjoy Miley Cyrus and John Travolta's song from Bolt. :I Thought I Lost You From Bolt:

Hi-Larious.

Gervais writes to Obama about Paris problem According to Gervais, a member of the President’s “flock has strayed.” Referring to the fact that Paris Hilton has bought a house a few miles away from him, in North London, and “is out and about integrating herself with the Great British public.” “Mr. President. We are not stupid,” Gervais blogged. “This is clearly a retaliatory strike for Posh Spice moving to L.A. I know it, and you know it, so let’s cut the ‘it’s a free country’ nonsense and come to some agreement.” Can we also get rid of Octo-mom?

"The harvest of the spirit has begun."

Interesting... Born Again American activisim. Everyone is straining to move beyond the limitations and the mire of past thinking patterns that allowed the current set of circumstances to occur. We're going to get there. one way. or the other. Thanks to these guys for doing it with song.
