Mels Love Land #Next100 Day 22 - Is it Kind? Is It Loving? Is It Just?

Image
There are a lot of  conversations  we could be having about how tricky these  situations  we find ourselves in is, or how caught up we are in our feelings, and spending  energy  explaining everything, but, the only conversation we need to have is  ‘Am I being  loving ? Am I being  compassionate ? Am I being  kind ? Am I being of  service ?’  If the answer you get back is 'no.' Take a  moment  to consider the  possibility  today is a day for a shift. Stand in the light of your authentic self in the seat of your soul’s code and be more loving today than you were yesterday. (we are nothing at Mels Love Land if not consistent)  Keep up your practice. Your Commitment. Your Self Love. Stay on the course to a new day. Possibilities for change are endless. Miracles are our birthright and now is the time to be invested in love. This is the  space  of  remembering  'we are  powerful ...

Mels Love Land #Next100 Day 20 - Be grateful for all your Friends Soundcloud Audio Love Talk

Our old friends peace love justice and activism meets our new friends Social Justice Warriors in Today's Mels Love Land on Soundcloud.  I didn't incorporate this quote (but I wish I had) Theologian James Dunn spoke of -- the humility that befits all humanity the hurt that afflicts every heart and the hope that comes with community an old theme in American history. there is strength in the company of others from "we the people" to "we shall overcome." to quote Bill Moyers -- "there is much to repair. if we have the will for it." Thanks for being a part of my 6th Annual Mels Love Land #Next100 community. If you feel inspired to get involved or to share, go for it. I look forward to hearing stories of more strength and love and compassion and courage in action in the coming year! Love, Mel. What Do I Do Now? Where Do We Go From Here? The Greatest Power Mels Love Land #Next100 Day 17

Image
Many of us are asking this question... "What Do I Do Now?" Can't help but be reminded of these words from Teddy Roosevelt “Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.”  Be brave, little by little, in your center, no loathing, no arrogance all love, action by action, thought by thought.  Take a stand for what you know to be true.  If you are a witness to unkindness, injustice, inequality, in-nanity, let your heart share a message of truth in gentle compassion for what needs to be shared in the most loving way. When one of us is disparaged, all of us suffer.  Each slight is registered and When the sword is thrust at someone it falls on us.  This is the time to stand in love and to release what no longer needs to chain our tomorrows. Life is a gift of being awake.  Awake to bare witness and to remember the truth.  Allow your relationships to be free of the past, allow the present to be something miraculous.  Allow this moment to live and brea...

Mels Love Land #Next100 Day 15 Consider the Possibility There is Another Way to Look at Every Situation

Image
In a loving practice designed for growth and healing and stretching the boundaries of everyday there are questions that come up. Questions about our humanity. Questions about hate and fear. Questions about what love can do. Questions that look to investigate and understand and bring light.   One question that comes up frequently 'What does considering the possibility there is another way' mean? These words are the practice which is at the heart of Mels Love Land. "Considering the possibility there is another way to look at any situation with love" is the discipline of seeing with the heart, listening to the truth beyond the visual representation. It is a commitment to checking in and embracing love in all its glory. It is a practice of learning to love yourself first and make that loving POV a way of radiating outward into the world. It is a way of being with seemingly insurmountable circumstances and taking the steps forward anyway. Those of us who are lovers and mir...

Steadfast Love Endures Forever. Mels Love Land #Next100 Day 13

The Bible says in Psalm 107:1 Let today be the end of any story that no longer serves.  'Let it go' doesn’t just need to be a song that every three year old in the world sings.   Be someone today who releases judgment who perceives no differences.  Separation is something man-made to designate claim to something. Surprise yourself. When the best of us is brought forth it gives us the chance to let go of the worst of us. or vice versa.   In our loving center, peace reigns no matter what.   Either way it is a story you are telling yourself so if you feel stressed about a story you are telling yourself.  Think differently.  Be different in our outlook and ideas. Your practice of love, standing for the truth and remembering love remains the answer is a choice that lives in our hearts when we remain steadfast in out authentic expression amplifying our soul force, alive and awake within the imaginal possibility of each moment. First, Do No Harm. Mels Love Land #Next100 Day 12

Bridges, Rainbows, Hearts, Unicorns in Practice  As we achieve a collective gridlock in beliefs, ideologies, passions, fundamentals, and opinions the only choice left is to go into the deeper conversation. There's a Latin phrase that represents a foundational element of the healing arts, medicine, and the sciences, Primum non nocere -- "First, do no harm."   Entering any situation with this simple thought sets the stage for compassion and connection. The end of what separates us and the beginning of a humanistic approach is in our sites because we have no other options. Our goals are the same no matter who we are or what we believe, and the great news is, if our intention is that we "First, do no harm" to ourselves and others it's easier to find common ground. "Do not onto others what you would wish not them do onto you."   We all have different ways that we experience the Truth, because those ways are different doesn't mean it isn't the sa...
